After 10 years of business, Bev is now retiring from making BevsChairs products. There is presently no stock left for public purchase. However watch this space. Bev hopes to release to those interested, the registered design plans for you to make your own chairs or commission your local craftsperson to make them for you. Bev hopes to have these easy to follow plans completed and available for purchase by the start of March this year (2024).

The space conscious can be comforted with the knowledge that the Mini Footstool (or multi-use stool/chair) folds up and takes next to no space in any storage. This is a great option if space is at a premium e. g. on an ocean-going boat, or as an easy-to-carry stool for fishing off the local wharf, or just for the kids around a low table.

Yes, that’s right, BevChairs has a whole miniature collection suitable for little people. These are constructed with exactly the same long-lasting materials as the adult version. 

The Mini Footstool also combines and supports the solid hardwood Mini Tabletop (left of the Mini Footstool shown in the picture) to create an ideal Mini Table for your collection. It conveniently can sit between your two deckchairs within easy reach for a couple of glasses and a small plate of nibbles.  Or it can serve as a tiny table for the kids. Perfect!

DESIGN FEATURES

  • – NZ grown hardwood; Eucalyptus Saligna – treated, prepped then wiped with Cabots Aquadeck Oil (waterbased) before assembly
  • – Buyers are advised to continue to treat with oil each year if the collection is continually left out in strong sun or weather. This will assist in keeping the wood in condition to last 15 to 20 years.
  • – Quality stainless steel hardware including bolt cap to finish
  • – EITHER Planosol 100% acrylic woven fabric sling – is rot resistant, UV protected to give a 7-year non-fade and repels water. The canvas sling is double stitched using a lifelong-guaranteed sailing thread.
  • – Two standard colours are available in this wide striped fabric: Blue and White stripes, Red and White stripes. (Note: Yellow and White, Black and White, and Green and White are also available. You can contact Bev can order these alternative colours).
  • – You can also contact Bev on alternative vibrant PLAIN colours. There is a wide choice of vibrant colours across the range. 
  • – OR PVC Polyester sling (i.e. Shadecloth) – UV, mould and tear resistant, 10-year warranty material, welded not stitched, easy to clean and dries fast
  • – Only limited standard colours are available in this fabric now due to COVID closing Bev’s local supplier: Black (No longer Available), Chocolate Brown (No longer Available), Forest Green (No longer Available), Slate Grey (3 left in stock), Sapphire Blue (No longer Available) and Desert Cream (No longer Available)

All items in the ‘BevsChairs’ collection come with a 12-month warranty. Because the chairs are built to last, Bev stands behind all of the products that are made and sold. Warranty Conditions: The warranty applies for 12 months from the date of purchase to manufacturing faults and defects to the timber frame. The timber is warranted against splitting, provided the item has not been scratched or abraded. Proof of purchase with the date is required for warranty claims. Warranty Exclusions: Fading due to prolonged weather exposure to the timber frame and seat sling fabric or damage to the timber frame and seat sling through accident, misuse or negligence. Possible leaching of tannin or oils from the timber onto the surface of the deck, pavers, floor or concrete substrate. The chairs are designed for domestic use and the warranty does not apply to commercial applications. Maximum weight for the Deluxe Deckchair and Deluxe Lounger Deckchair is 120kg. Maximum weight for the Broad Deluxe Deckchair and Broad Deluxe Lounger Deckchair, adapted for increased width, is 150kg.
